DIY Envelope Christmas Ornament – Top Easy Interior Party Decor Design Project

  1. Cut the 1Β½” x 1″ of fabric for the address (I used a little cardboard template to speed up the process), and stamp Dear Santa on it. If you’re using the envelopes to hold gift cards, you can simply stamp the recipient’s name. You can skip the stamping and only use marker to write the names.
  2. Pull away some threads from each side of the fabric to give it a frayed edge.
  3. Fold the burlap ribbon as indicated in the picture below, giving the middle section 2Β½”.
  4. Hot glue the address on that middle section.
  5. Hot glue the triangular flap in place, I even run a line of glue on those folds to make them lay flat.
  6. Apply two more lines of glue on each side of the envelope and don’t forget to add the folded piece of yarn or ribbon.
  7. As a final touch, using the ruler and the Sharpie, go around the piece of fabric giving it the look of running stitches. Draw a little heart to serve as a letter stamp.
